Gay priest leaves
June 24th, 2007In case folks missed it yesterday there was a good article on a Catholic priest in Alameda who is leaving his church two years after coming out as gay. The church was not rocked by the revelation, but I imagine it’s a rare experience outside the Bay Area? After attending the Episcopal mass today in the Mission, SF I am starting to really understand how churches, even within their own denominations, are divided along the gay issue. On Pride Sunday, it also reminds me of the bubble we live in in the SF Bay Area. More to come from Joelle, pictures on Flickr as well. Stay tuned.
