Our Lady of Second Life

June 1st, 2007

Our Lady of SL Yes, I confessed in Second Life, not sure exactly to whom, but I assume it was a father of sorts. I didn’t confess anything grave, just things like “Father, I’m a Unitarian-Buddhist now and haven’t set foot in Catholic Church since I was 15, does this count?” It is an interesting thing to think about: are confessions up in SL because it’s SL and it’s got an anonymity to it that you can’t get in your local church? Who’s on the other side listening? Are there specific ordination rites for SL priesthood? What’s the code of conduct here?
