We shouldn’t be using shared logins. We should all have accounts at each of the sites, like a normal person. Then create/join groups or use some common tags to organize our stuff. This is a tool for organizing. But not *only* using one tag like “news21″, but also with tags that actually helps organize it, classify it. Like we did for del.icio.us … just use the service, give it [see entire entry...]

Banning the Anti-Christ

Tuesday, April 17th, 2007

I don’t know if folks have been tracking this story at all, but how in the world can you ban an “AntiChrist” coming into your country? Regardless, it’s newsworthy and I think it’s worth us covering in some way or another.
Here’s a quick take on it:
“GUATEMALA - Three Central American governments have banned a man claiming to be the Antichrist from entering their countries, outraged by his inflammatory preaching against the Catholic Church and [see entire entry...]

Mourning for Virgina Tech in SecondLife

Tuesday, April 17th, 2007

Second Life never ceases to amaze me. To mourn the Virginia Tech deaths people were mourning at 8pm yesterday on SL.

I did not attend, but I’m wondering if there was a religious component to it. I imagine there was and if it’s intriguing and inspiring how people create community and express religious faith using the technology available to them.

But you do believe in God, right?

Sunday, April 15th, 2007

7 a.m. on a Saturday morning is early enough that the regular entrance to my local Walgreen’s isn’t open yet. Instead, you have to walk through the exit door, passing the security guard on your way in so he can keep track of who is in the store.
Fine, no big deal. I just wanted to grab some cat food and get on with my day. But the security guard needed to know something first. [see entire entry...]

Five days after Easter…

Friday, April 13th, 2007

It is t-minus five days after Easter, yet the Easter Bunny lives on inside my refrigerator.
She is a cheerful Victorian-era critter wearing a flowered dress who enjoys doing any number of normally human activities; pushing a pram full of eggs, playing ball with other bunnies, or even playing the trumpet. I know that her likeness graces an individually wrapped square of particularly sweet dark chocolate, but I can’t take my eyes off of the bunny.
This [see entire entry...]
